Welcome to the Best Little Quilt House in Texas!

I’m Pam, the founder of this cozy quilting haven, which came to life in October 2013. What began as a small Longarm Quilting Services business in my living room has blossomed into something truly special. As I connected with the vibrant quilting community in North Texas, I realized we needed more—a place where we could gather, learn, and create together. And so, the Best Little Retreat Center in Texas was born, now also the home of the Best Little Quilt House in Texas.

This journey has been a dream of mine since I retired from the high-tech industry in 2013. But none of it would have been possible without my husband, Chuck, affectionately known as “Mr. Pam.”

A Note from Chuck (Mr. Pam):

While Pam is the face and energy behind both the Retreat Center and the Quilt House, I’m the one behind the scenes, keeping things running smoothly. My qualifications you ask? I’m tall, I fix stuff and I kill bugs. Of the two of us here at the Retreat Center, I’m 9th in charge. My official title for my all-volunteer, non-paid role is 5M: Maintenance, Marketing, Many other duties as assigned, Mover of tables and chairs, and Merchandiser—as long as Pam agrees. I may not quilt, but I’m here to support this wonderful community in every other way.

We’ve been through a lot, especially during the challenges of 2020, but the support from our quilting, knitting, scrapping, and crafting family has been incredible. We’re determined not only to persevere but to come out stronger together.
